The Guyana Water Incorporated has introduced a new way of informing the public about its operations, and giving the public a chance to vent concerns.
The company would be hosting “public day” on Fridays of every week, from 9:00am to 12:00 noon. This move is a collaborated effort between the management of the Guyana Water Inc. and the Regional and Neighbourhood Democratic Councils, communities and concerned groups, which would act as a voice.
These engagements would be held with Chief Executive Officer Karan Singh and a team.
They would address matters of concern to the communities, groups and other organized bodies. These meetings would act as a means of persons ventilating issues which are pertinent to the functioning and operations of GWI.
The forum is not intended to deal with the individual queries, reports of leaks and other such matters, which can be addressed by calling the company’s commercial service department.
The management of GWI is urging the Regional and Neighbourhood Democratic Councils and concerned groups who are interested in attending “public meetings” to contact its Public Relations Department.
