A Malaysian man succumbed to his injures, sustained during a freak accident some 15 days ago in Buck Hall.
Reports are that on November 10 last, Wat Anat Jabin was struck by a tree which he was cutting to sell. The incident occurred in the Buck Hall backdam.
This newspaper was told that, as the tree was falling, it somehow got struck in vines. While the man was attempting to remove the vines, the tree fell on him.
He sustained severe head injuries, and was rushed to the Woodlands Hospital by persons who happened to be in the area.
Jabin, according to a police source, succumbed to his injuries at sometime around 11:30 hours on Monday, while being treated.
According to a source, the matter was not reported to the police until Monday.
Reports are that the man is an employee of Barama Company Limited.
