Miner wounds brother

Police on the Essequibo Coast have detained a miner after he chopped his sibling during an argument.
Reports are that the incident occurred at some time around 9:30 hours on Sunday at the miner’s home in Aurora village.
This newspaper was told that the two brothers were watching television when there was a disagreement over what to watch.
Moments later, loud screams were heard; and upon enquiring, one of the lads was seen lying on the floor in the living room bleeding profusely. He had sustained a gaping wound to his left shoulder.
The injured lad was rushed to the Suddie Hospital, where he remains a patient.
The assailant has been detained.
