6-a-side 5 overs Cricket competition fixed for Rose Hall, Canje
A one day six-a-side 5 overs cricket competition organised by the Rose Hall Community Centre will be played today at the Rose Hall Community centre Ground Beginning at 9:00am.
Eight of the leading division one teams in Berbice will match skills. Those slated to participate are; Rose Hall Town Windies Sports Bar, Skeldon Community Centre, West Berbice, Young Warriors, Bermine, Police, Rose Hall Community Centre and Berbice River. Attractive prizes will be on offer which includes the winner of the competition taking home $60,000, while other top performers will receive cash and trophies.
Special incentives will be given to the batsmen hitting straight sixes on to the sight screen and hits out of ground will be rewarded.
Food and a well stocked bar will be available. Proceeds from the event will be in aid of the club’s upkeep.
