Dear Editor,
The call for Colin Klass to demit office is long overdue. For too long attempts to get this gentleman to quit leadership of the GFF have fallen on deaf ears.
From all appearances football depends on Klass and his cohorts; that is the only logical conclusion I can arrive at.
I can recall Gerald Laurie tried unsuccessfully to give this man the boot, but got little or no support from the executives of the various clubs, who now have been awakened from their slumber.
Klass must not be allowed to leave without being accountable for the funds which were made available for the players. Guyana’s standard of football will forever be pathetic as long as Klass remains as its head.
The entire executive must resign en bloc. I always wonder why Jack Warner, who I presume is his ally, has to intervene in Guyana’s affairs.
This form of interference must cease and Guyanese must protest any form of interference by Jack Warner. Every Guyanese feels that Klass’s time is long overdue and it is time. Umar Saied
