Dear Editor,
Now that the gas prices have been reduced, and will be a help in easing the burden on Guyanese people, of which I am sure, I would like to know if GPL will be reducing the huge and almost impossible light bills that they send to consumers, now that they are getting to purchase fuel cheaper.
I am quite sure all Guyanese will be grateful to hear something positive, because we are still paying the normal bills and getting blackout almost daily, especially in Region Three.
I would also like to know if the Demerara Speedboat Association has instructed operators to reduce the fare of the service. It was recently increased to $100, citing the rise of gas prices for the increase.
Against the advisory of the Transport and Harbours Department, the association still went ahead and raised the fares, and demanded the extra $20 from those who gave them $80. Sahadeo Bates
