Bakewell Buxton Stars stun BV, Golden Stars edge Determinators

East Demerara defending division one champs BV Triumph United continue to endure a torrid season when they suffered a stunning 1-0 loss to Bakewell Buxton Stars on Thursday evening at the Plaisance ground.
Ruben Morris’ 66th minute blaster was enough to secure the Bakewell boys victory.
Golden Stars also collected full points from Determinators, edging the latter 3-2 compliments of a second half double form Joel Wilson (68 & 79). Kwesi Healey scored the other in the 10th minute.
Golden Stars came from behind twice to take the game. Julian Heart had given Determinators the lead after 7 minutes into the encounter. Golden Stars were able to equalize but Determinators took the lead again in the 59th through a Sherwin Hermanstine strike but could not hold on to that advantage as Wilson took matters into his own hands for Golden Stars.
Action is expected to continue this afternoon at the BV ground with a double header. Victoria Kings take on Plaisance and Ann’s Grove match skills with Black Stallion.
