Motorcyclist killed at B/V
A 48-year-old motorcyclist died at around 02:45 hrs yesterday, some four hours after riding headlong into a car on the Beterverwagting public road, East Coast Demerara.
The accident occurred at around 22:30 hrs on Thursday night.
Police said that Anthony James, of Lot 146 Surat Drive, Triumph, East Coast Demerara, was riding north along the Beterverwagting main road when turned onto the public road without stopping.
He then slammed into a car, HB 1718, which was heading east along the public road.
James was admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) in an unconscious condition, and succumbed at around 02:45 hrs yesterday.
