Man found dead, murder suspected
Police on the East Coast of Demerara are investigating what they suspect to be a murder committed on a 55-year-old man at Mahaicony on Monday.
The body of Jaikarran Tiwari, of Novar, Mahaicony, was found in an abandoned yard at Good Faith at about 14:30 hours with wounds to the back of the head.
Police have questioned several persons in the area but no useful information was obtained.
They are now awaiting the results of a post mortem examination on the body which is at the Lyken Funeral Parlour.
