Teen remanded for attempted buggery
Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton remanded a 17-year-old to prison after he was charged with attempted buggery.
It is alleged that on Saturday, August 2, at Uitvlugt, West Coast Demerara, he attempted to have anal sex with Delwyn King. The charge was indictable and the accused was not required to plead.
Meanwhile, police prosecutor Desiree Fowler asked that bail be refused and that the matter be transferred to the substantive magistrate.
Her request was granted, and Mitchell was remanded to prison until August 19, when the matter will be called at the Leonora Magistrate’s Court.
