On Friday, Emancipation Day, three babies were delivered at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation. Their mothers were presented with gift hampers from the Dahlia’s Baby Softness, a St. Lucian-based company owned by Guyanese Dahlia Torrington, who is home to open a branch in Guyana.
Ms Torrington presented the gifts to Farida Omar, who gave birth to a baby boy at 02:27 hrs; and Ms. Nicola Benjamin, who gave birth to a baby girl at 03:17 hrs.
The third mother, Pheona Caesar, received a special gift. Some of the items that the mothers received were pillows, comfort soft beds and other items from the company’s product line.
