Four Harpy Eagles athletes promoted
Four athletes from the Harpy Eagle Martial Arts Academy were recently promoted after Sensei Randy Sanders from the United States of American conducted an examination at the BV Community Centre last Monday.
Troy Bobb Jr. was promoted to a First Degree Junior Black Belt along with Jonathan Khadaroo and Tyrone Niles; Webster McRae was promoted to a Third Degree Black Belt after successfully completing the examination.
According to Director of the Academy, Troy Bobb Snr. the athletes had to complete Kata and Sparring Drills with a normal routine of basic karate skills and exercise. He said they all impressed Sanders during the activity.
