Teams Renegade capture Digicel
Team Renegade, made up of a bunch of energetic and young shooters used speed and strategy to overcome Team Jafab to emerge the ultimate victors in a thrilling and exciting final game of the Digicel sponsored Guyana National Rifle Association (GNRA) Paintball tournament which was contested on Sunday last.
All the action unfolded at the Guyana Scouts Association Ground, Woolford Avenue in overcast conditions which also saw some rain.
Leading Team Renegade to victory over Team Jafab was Flag Runner Eric Hing who jumped and dived over obstacles while being covered by teammates, Samuel Ming, Liddon Kellman and Denzil James.
Team Rampage grabbed 3rd place ahead of NCN-1, Troy Parboo outrunning NCN’s shooters to carry the flag home.
Medals were presented top the top teams by GNRA Handgun Captain, Dale Hing and Ariel Ming.
A total of 15 teams participated in what was described as an exciting and fun filled day on a very wet and muddy field.
Those competing were Brickdam Scouts, Delta Force, Digicel, Fantastic 4, Flame Throwers, Jafab, Mercenaries, NCN-1, NCN-2, Physicks, Queens Scouts, Rampage, Renegades, Swat and The Unknowns.
Eight (8) teams went through to the second round after eliminations.
They were Digicel, Jafab, NCN-1, NCN-2, Physicks, Rampage, Renegades and The Unknowns.
