Not Republic Bank
DEAR EDITOR,
With reference to my letter concerning an improperly conducted spelling bee competition here in Berbice a few weeks ago, I make a warranted correction by stating that the name of the bank in my letter should have been Demerara Bank and not Republic Bank.
I wish to bear fault for the error and further wish to state that the Finals for this competition was held in the premises of Demerara Bank in Rose Hall Town, Corentyne.
I therefore retract every print of the letter published in the three traditional dailies of Guyana that referred to Republic Bank which really should have been Demerara Bank.
