Former beauty queen, Carolan Lynch, was once again in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court as her trial for illegal arms and ammunition possession charges continued.
Sergeant Cassandra Anthony, who is attached to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) headquarters, Eve Leary, testified yesterday after a bit of a mix-up over the case docket.
When the matter was called the prosecution informed the court that they were not in possession of the case docket and that CID headquarters had it.
The presiding magistrate, Gordon Gilhuys, put down the matter for 30 minutes so that the prosecution could gain possession of the docket.
When the matter was called for the second time, the prosecution still did not acquire the file, saying that it was with the Director of Public Prosecutions.
However, the witness, Anthony, was in court and took the stand.
She was cross-examined by Attorney-at-Law for Lynch, Mark Waldron. The matter was put down for June 5.
Lynch is on trial for unlawful possession of four 9 mm magazines, one Beretta automatic pistol, and 120 rounds of 9 mm ammunition, which were discovered at their Lot 106 Ireng Place, Bel Air Park home on November 10 last year.
Lynch was charged jointly with her now deceased husband, Farouk Razac.
