Dear Editor,

I ran from my Mother country in 1982, during the time of the brazen PNC dictatorship. My last visit to Guyana was in 2007, but the Guyana online news still interests me.

With the PPP now in government and the oil money Guyana is moving forward at a rapid pace. The President, Vice President, and Ministers are all working long hours to provide more roads, shelter, health care, education, jobs, etc. to enhance the lives of all the people.

With constant rain, flooding, fire, burglary, and negative opposition, it will take hard work, billions of dollars, decades, and careful planning to move Guyanese out of poverty. With half of the population anti-government, the work of the President, his cabinet, and all government supporters becomes more difficult.

The Vice President who I think is overworked and has tremendous responsibilities should concentrate more on the aims and objectives of his party. The PPP has its own problems and the problems of Mr. Norton and the PNC are of no concern to him. Mr. Vice President, please keep working hard for your party and your government. Please do not waste your precious time and indulge into the affairs of Mr. Norton and the PNC.
