In January 2016, Robertson was arrested for possession of 1.156 kilograms of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the Customs Anti Narcotics Unit said that Robertson had discarded a bag containing 139 cocaine pellets during a pursuit while driving. He was subsequently apprehended by CANU officers while hiding at a Mandela Avenue residence.

In 2025, he appeared before Senior Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Vigilance Magistrates’ Court where he was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment and fined $30,000 for aiding the commission of trafficking 1.174 kilograms of cannabis.
That conviction stemmed from an operation conducted on June 17, 2021, during which officers intercepted a minibus at Ann’s Grove Public Road, East Coast Demerara (ECD), and arrested a suspect with the said quantity of cannabis.
The suspect was released, while Robertson was ordered to stand trial in the high court.
Additionally, he was previously charged alongside three (3) others in March 2017, though those charges were subsequently dismissed.
