Father, teen daughter die in Mandela Avenue crash
Car turns turtle after crash at Mandela Avenue Roundabout.
(Kaieteur News) – A father and his 15-year-old daughter were killed early Thursday morning in a car crash at the Mandela Avenue Roundabout, Georgetown.
The victims have been identified as Kenneth Johnson of ‘A’ Field, Sophia, who was the driver of the car and his daughter, Kelly Johnson.

Kenneth was reportedly driving west along the northern lane of Aubrey Barker Road at high speed when he lost control while attempting to turn at the Mandela Avenue Roundabout. The car collided with a concrete median, overturned several times, and came to a stop. Kenneth, and Kelly were flung from the vehicle. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
Another teenage occupant was extracted by emergency services and taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
