(Kaieteur News) – A 19-year-old welder from Annandale New Housing Scheme, East Coast Demerara (ECD), who was wanted for attempted murder and robbery under arms was on Friday arrested.
The teen, Kobie Isiah Benjamin, for whom a wanted bulletin was issued on Friday was apprehended by police, “in connection with an alleged Attempted Murder and Robbery Under Arms incident.”
The Guyana Police Force (GPF) in a statement said that acting on information received on Friday, ranks visited Benjamin’s home where he was found hiding in the ceiling.
Benjamin was wanted in connection with the January 12 Triumph, ECD shooting of Shaheen Amanat called ‘Ryan’. Amanat was shot in his head.
Investigations are ongoing.
