Police destroy $1M worth of ganja in Canje Creek
(Kaieteur News) – Ranks of the Guyana Police Force on Wednesday destroyed a marijuana farm measuring approximately one acre with plants worth $965,580 at Wel te Vreeden, Canje Creek.
In a statement to the media, police said the exercise was executed between 04:00hrs and 12:30hrs.

“During the exercise, a plot of land measuring approximately one acre was located, on which approximately 950 cannabis plants were discovered. The plants ranged between two and five feet in height. A makeshift camp was also found at the location,” police said.
The plants were destroyed by fire; however, no arrests were made during the incident free operation.
Investigations are ongoing.=
