Kaieteur Sports-Results in the Region 2 Inaugural leg of the MCYS and NSC sponsored Janet & Cheddi Jagan memorial Windball Cricket, organised by Sports Officer A. Munroe played at Zorg Community ground, saw both Abrams Zuil Secondary boys and girl’s teams on winner’s row.
The first female Regional Chairperson of that region was present at the games and also shared a brief history about Janet Jagan.
In the Girls segment –
Abram Zuil Secondary scored 57-1, with Deoroya Morris 22 and Jael Charles 20. 8th of May Secondary replied with 45-2, with Annastasica Clarks 12 and Alicia Griffith 12.
Aurora Secondary made 70-0, Akeela Stephen 61, (6s x 9).
Johanna Cecelia Secondary could only respond with 45-3 with Aniessa John 38.
Over in the Boys department: –
Anna Regina Multilateral rattled up 61-1, Tyrese Stephy scored 35 and Jarel Singh 11. Bowling for the eventual winners Brandon Narine 2-5, Vijay Seenauth 2-13.
8th of May Secondary made a winning response of 66-5, Mario George 20, Jadesh Narine 14 led the victory.
Abram Zuil Secondary 81-2, Ravid Fredricks 65 (6s x 9).
Aurora Secondary 55-2, Shamar Sue 25, Dishon Stephen 15.
In one Semifinal, Abram Zuil Secondary scored 81-3 with Ravid Fredricks 53 (6s x 5).
Johanna Cecelia Secondary fell short at 52-3, Josiah Fortune scored 13.
