Kaieteur Sports – Australian dynamic all-rounder Marcus Stoinis churned out an exceptional performance for Surrey Jaguars to help them beat Toronto Nationals by an 80-run margin in the continuation of the Global T20 on Sunday at CAA Centre, Brampton, Ontario.
And West Indian off-spinner Sunil Narine gave tremendous support with 3-5 from his maximum four overs as Toronto Nationals were skittled out for 81 in the 18th over replying to Surrey Jaguars’ respectable 161-6 from their 20-overs.
Only Unmukt Chand with 21 really resisted against Narine and medium-pacer Stoini who complemented a fiery 57 with 3-19 (4).
Stoini’s destructive show was highlighted with four effortless sixes and three fours.
Toronto Nationals had won the toss but they elected to bowl on a lively surface.
And earlier in the day, defending champions Montreal Tigers maintained their winnings ways with two victories now. They got the better of Vancouver Knight Riders by 10 runs.
