Kaieteur Sports – Opener Zameer Zaman hit a quick fire 96 to lead Sans Souci Jaguars to a 63-run win over Maria’s Pleasure while Good Success beat Zeelandia by four wickets when the Wakenaam Cricket Committee/ Trophy Stall T20 tournament commenced recently at the Wakenaam Community Center ground, Good Success.
Zaman struck six fours and nine sixes as he plundered the bowlers on both sides of the wicket and added 136 for the first wicket with Gladewin Henry to give Sans Souci Jaguars a solid start. Henry made 20 while Nokta Moses chipped in with 27 as Sans Souci Jaguars posted 201.
Maria’s Pleasure responded with 138 -9. Kevin Hemraj made 34 while Bernard Lewis scored 25 and Kennard Lewis 19. Chandrika Jairam and Ameer Mohamed had two wickets each.
Zeelandia batted first and made 175 all out. Ravi (only name given) struck five fours and fours sixes in a top score of 68 while Joshua (only name given) made 32 as Imran Khan picked up 4-22, Vickram Ramnarine 2-28 and Mohandass Surujpaul 2-35.
Good Success responded with 176-6 in 19.4 overs. Tulsiram Ramadeen made 63 with two fours and six sixes while Komesh Sudin scored 34 and Surujpaul 22. Joshua and Varun Pooran had three wickets each.
Good Success beat Sans Souci by eight wickets. Batting first, Sans Souci posted 152-6. Heera Sukram made 32 while Reon Venture got 27, Kamal Khan 23 and Oyono Sampson 22. Wazir Khan and Bomesh Lall took two wickets each.
Good Success replied with 153-1 in 11 overs. Mohandass Surujpaul slammed 95 laced 12 fours and eight sixes while Komesh Sudin made 49.
