Kaieteur Sports – Guyana Harpy Eagles completed a successful title defence, as they were officially crowned champs of the 2024 CWI Regional 4-Day Tournament.
Tevin Imlach and his men secured their second successive title and 7th in 9 years, after completing a crushing win over CCC on Friday, with a day left.
The Harpy Eagles, who now have their 13th first class title, finished with 103.8 points; a terrific comeback after a mixed start to the tournament.
With the inclusion of Captain Tevin Imlach, Gudakesh Motie specifically who joined the team after the opening rounds, Guyana found their form and resilience deep in the competition.
The young Eagles will also feel confident having won this title without their most successful skipper, the retired Leon Johnson.
