Kaieteur News – Dem boys remember de story ’bout dis fella who did always busy pon he own self, fussin’ over de smallest ting, like a cricket ball in he backyard or a wrinkle in he shirt.
One day, he decide he gon’ throw a lil party, but only fuh he likkle clique, nuh. Nobody else ent ‘invited. De music had to be exactly 73 decibels, and de food had to be served in precise portions, not a grain more, not a grain less. Well, when de day come, nobody show up ’cause who wan’ deal wid dat kinda foolishness?
Now, yuh see, dis small-minded fella was nah just a one-off oddity. He represent sometin’ bigger—a mindset dat plague plenty folks, especially some politicians. Dem so consumed by every lil detail, dey cyan see past dem own nose, much less dream big dreams or tackle grand projects. Dem de ones who could tell yuh how many tiles dey step on from one end of dem house to de odder but cyan tell yuh how fi build a bridge or a better society.
And oh boy, when dem small-minded folks get in charge, dat’s when de real drama start. Dey turn into real control freaks, like dem directors in a one-man play. Dey tink dey gotta have dey hand in every pot, stirrin’ and fussin’ until de soup done get cold and tasteless. Complex projects? Forget about it! Dem small minds can’t handle de big picture. Dey too busy countin’ de ants to see de elephant in de room.
So, meh friends, if yuh ever find yuhself dealin’ wid dem small-minded souls, me advice to yuh is dis: run fuh de hills or risk drownin’ in a sea of pettiness and failure. Let dem count dem grains of sand while de real thinkers reach fuh de stars.
