Kaieteur News – Last week, police from Regional Division #8 performed a ‘raid practice’ at numerous people’s residences, shops, and stalls in the Mahdia Arcade area, looking for illegal firearms, ammunition, narcotics, and stolen items, but nothing was discovered.
During the search, however police discovered two black plastic bags containing leaves, seeds, and stems presumed to be cannabis. One of the bags was wedged between a wooden post and zinc, while the other was discovered under an old mat in a garbage heap (an open place with easy access).
The two plastic bags of cannabis were photographed, collected, transferred to the police, weighed, and found to be 120 grams and 25 grams, respectively.
