Kaieteur Sports – A fine century from Sachin Balgobin handed Windsor Forest A, a 130-run win over Belle Vue when the teams collided in their semi final encounter of the Jits and Neelam 40-over tournament in West Demerara.
Windsor Forest A won the toss and decided to bat first, scoring – 286 for 9 from their allotted 40 overs. Balgobin slammed 124, Kishaun Tracy got 47, Killon Tracy 42 and Kenzo Baksh 33. Lucian Sam bagged 5 for 33 from 8 overs while Randy Ramrup and Ryan Seecharran had two each.
Bellevue SC responded with 155 all out in 32. 3 overs.
Lucian Sam made 48 and Kevin Plants 42. Lalta Suknanan bagged 6 for 24 from 8 overs
Previously, Windsor Forest CT A beat Leonora CC by 222 runs. Led by another century from Balgobin, Windsor Forest managed 283 all out 33 overs, batting first.
Balgobin struck 16 fours and three sixes in scoring 111, while Kenzo Baksh made 67 and Monesh Gopie 20.
Marlon Basdeo claimed 3 for 39 from 7 overs and Teddy Wong had 3 for 52 from 8 overs.
Leonora CC made 61 all out 13 overs in reply. Teddy Wong got 33 as Chatram Nauth had 3 for 3 from 2 overs, Raylex Payne 3 for 21 from 5 overs and Maniram Ragnauth 2 for 25 from 4 overs.
In another encounter, Windsor Forest defeated MMZ Defenders by 206 runs with Balgobin scoring another century.
