Kaieteur News – Bids are now open for the rehabilitation of 30 kilometres access road Ebini/ Kimbia, Region 10 (Upper Demerara-Berbice). The engineer estimates that this project would cost $394 million.
The Ministry of Agriculture through the National Drainage and Irrigation Authority (NDIA) has issued two Invitations for Bids (IFB) for the Ebini/ Kimbia access road as well as the construction of an access road at Canal No. 2 Conservancy Dam, West Bank Demerara, Region Three (Essequibo Islands-West Demerara). This project is estimated to be $145.770 million.
Interested contractors have until April 23, 2024, to submit their bids at the office of the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB). Bidders are required to provide one hard copy and two electronic copies of their tenders, adhering to the National Committee Bidding (NCB) procedures outlined in the Procurement Act 2003 and Regulations 2004.
Prospective bidders are encouraged to inspect the bidding documents and seek further information from the Procurement Office at NDIA during regular working hours. Bid documents will be available starting April 2, 2024, and can be obtained from the NDIA office cashier’s cage upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $3,000.
All submitted bids must include valid certificates of compliance from the Manager of the National Insurance Scheme (NIS) and the Commissioner of the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA). Additionally, bid security equivalent to the specified value in the bid document is mandatory to ensure the seriousness of the bids.
