Kaieteur News – The Beterverwagting Police Station, East Coast Demerara (ECD) will be reconstructed at an estimated cost of $131million.
This was revealed during the opening of tenders on Tuesday at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB) Office.
Over 40 contractors have bid for the project.
With over $40billion approved in the 2024 budget for the Ministry of Home Affairs, the ministry intends to reconstruct a number of police stations across the country and complete ongoing works at other police stations that began last year.

National Drainage and Irrigation Authority (NDIA)
Construction of timber revetment at Baracara School, Baracara.
Extension of workshop building with tool room and locker room, NDIA Mechanics Store, Lusignan.
Construction of high level canal at #51/52 Villages lot 1 to 4.
