Mar 20, 2024 Letters
On Saturday 16th March 2024 the Island Point had an event. This event had booming music which started at 5:55pm in the afternoon and continued straight into 4:00 am Sunday 17th March 2024. The zinc was vibrating in my home and the lights were blinking due to the vibrations at some points of time.
People in the area could not sleep. The noise could be heard villages away.
The business in question is the first building on the left hand side when you cross over the Covent Garden Island bridge. This spot and its activities were written about previously in the newspaper and to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Reports about the said business were made previously at the Providence Police Station. The said business was also investigated by the Ministry of Home Affairs previously and found guilty of noise nuisance offences. I am a sick, tired and fed up resident. Do people not have rights to sleep in peace in their own homes? This nastiness has been ongoing for years. They had stopped with this behaviour for a period of time and now they have started again. When will such disrespect end? Please send this plea for help to stop this disrespect to the minister of public security.
Tired and fed up resident
Regards,
Tanuja Singh
