Kaieteur Sports – Chicago Fire FC Forward Omari Glasgow has arrived in Saudi Arabia for the highly anticipated first-ever FIFA Series, starting this week.
The 20-year-old from Beterverwagting, East Coast Demerara, Guyana, is the fresh off scoring for his USA side against Cincinnati FC in the MLS Next Pro on Sunday night.
Glasgow will join his Golden Jaguars teammates for training on Tuesday night in Jeddah as they national side intensifies preparations for two international friendlies at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium.
Guyana will take on Cabo Verde on March 21 and Cambodia on March 26.
The FIFA Series is a new initiative which allows football nations the opportunity to compete against teams outside their confederation.
In every even-numbered year the world governing body will host matches across the six confederations.
Apart from Saudi Arabia, matches will be held in Algeria, Azerbaijan and Sri Lanka.
