While the blocking of aid trucks from entering Gaza continues, the best its ally can counter with is to airdrop humanitarian assistance, in face of hundreds who were killed while seeking food relief.
Instead of calling for Israel to allow access of the besieged strip in order to bring much relief to citizens, the ally is seeking to redeem itself now by decisions which have come back to haunt, with criticisms being levelled against it for the airdrop plan.
Now the VP is calling for an immediate cease fire. Will the call be listened to much less heeded?
Peace must come to Palestine. Someday, the wind will carry their laughter instead of their scream.

Shamshun Mohamed
