Kaieteur News – The Environmental Protection Agency on Tuesday cautioned that another wave of Saharan dust will reach Guyana on Wednesday evening with concentrations gradually increasing until Saturday, 10th February, 2024.
In a public advisory, the EPA said that “All air quality sensors are reporting concentration levels in the ‘moderate’ zone with unaffected visibility.”
The Agency noted too that despite the update on air quality, the “Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS) News forecast another wave of Saharan dust will reach Guyana tomorrow evening with concentrations gradually increasing until Saturday, 10th February, 2024.”

“As such, the EPA encourages the public to take the necessary precautions with the elderly, children and persons with respiratory and skin conditions,” the advisory said.
