I listened with consternation and concern to the Budget presentation on Monday afternoon and I am reminded that members of both sides of the Parliament seem to either not know or ignore time-honoured tradition.
It is that except for a few witticisms delivered where the speaker can hardly hear, I listened with horror as the Minister of Finance indulged in personal invectives and the Opposition members heckling in a manner considered unacceptable in the earlier days. I hope that both sides can help preserve some level of sophistication as honourable members.
Regards,
Eric Moseley, MS
