Please provide me with the space to respond to the news item ‘Blunt of the Day’. The writer of this article provides reasons why he thinks the vice President should resign. However, his evidence is lacking; instead, he mentions corruption and the Vice President avoiding answering questions that another Minister did not answer. This appears to be a caricature.
Mr. Editor, no one is free of faults, but now our country faces an external problem with Venezuela’s false claim to the Essequibo Region. Guyana must unite and cooperate as we face this existential threat to national security. This is not the time to sow the seed of distrust.
Kind regards,
Marlon Innis
