Kaieteur News – A “Long John Tree” on Sunday fell onto a two-storey wooden and concrete house at 96 Front Half, Second Street Agricola, East Bank Demerara (EBD).
The house belonged to Sandra Timothy and according to the Guyana Fire Service (GFS), no life was loss nor was anyone trapped in the incident.
Firefighters were sent to the location remove the fallen tree with chainsaws.
It was noted that a number of household items, the roof, and the northern and eastern walls of the house were destroyed.
At the time of incident the top-floor of the property was occupied by Onika Bostick, Gerron Williams and Shemarion Gomes.
