Limacol Schools U-18 Football League…
Kaieteur Sports – The second round of the highly anticipated Limacol Schools’ Under-18 Football League is billed to kick off today at the Ministry of Education Ground (MoE) Ground, Carifesta Avenue, with a quartet of matches on the card.
At noon (12:00hrs) the action gets underway with the first match that will feature Mackenzie High and Bartica Secondary. In the second showdown that begins at 13:30hrs, Ann’s Grove goes head-to-head with Chase’s Academic Foundation (CAF).
The penultimate match of the day will see Carmel clash with the League’s defending champion, Christianburg/Wismar, at 15:00hrs while the day wraps up with East Ruimveldt taking on Santa Rosa at 16:30hrs.
Last weekend the League commenced with the first four matches at the same venue as Bartica delivered an upsetting blow to the defending champion to achieve a 3 – 0 win then Carmel sank Mackenzie High 2 – 0 while Chase’s Academic Foundation steamrolled East Ruimveldt 6 – 0.
The final match of the evening featured Ann’s Grove going head-to-head with Santa Rosa, which ended in a 1 – 1 draw.
This edition of the tournament is sponsored by the New GPC Incorporated, organised by the Petra Organisation with support from the MoE, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport, Guyana Football Federation (GFF) and MVP Sports.
