Budhan Memorial Turf Club Meet set for Sunday

Over 1M in cash and prizes up for grabs

Kaieteur Sports – The Budhan Memorial Turf Club (BMTC) has organised a one day horserace meet for this Sunday November 5th at the Club’s track, No66 Village Corentyne, Berbice.

Six Races are listed for the day with a total of over 1M in cash and trophies and other rewards up for grabs. An action packed day of racing is anticipated.

The Feature event will be for animals classified J and lower going over 1 mile for a winning purse of $160,000 and trophy.

There is an event for the two years old maiden animals over 6furlongs for a top prize of $90,000 and trophy.

The Open event will see the winner taking home $90,000 and trophy over 6F.

The race for L non earners will also be going over 6F for a take home reward of $70,000 and trophy.

The final two races are for unclassified animals group one and group two over 6 furlongs.  The winners will race away with $50,000 and trophies respectively.

Reports are that close to 40 animals have entered so far for the day’s meet. Interested persons can contact any member of the Club for further information. Entries are expected to be close on November 3rd.
