Kaieteur News – Have you ever heard of a business called ‘Natural Beauty Products’ or have you ever tried one of its items before? If not, today The Waterfalls wants to give you a sneak peak of how this venture came about and what made it into the business it is today.
The ‘Natural Beauty Products’ business came into existence in November 2022 and is owned by the resilient 22-year-old Floretta Kim Spooner.
In a recent interview with this magazine, Spooner revealed her business is basically a brand that produces and distribute natural products that are used to remove marks such as stretch marks, burns, sunburn, skin infections, acne, dark marks and that it can also be used as a skin lighter.
According to her, the business all started after a life changing experience had occurred to her back in 2019. In 2019, the 22-year-old was pretty much given a second chance at life after a horrific accident which happened in August that same year. The accident had left her in a coma for some weeks.
On the road to recovery, one of the things she began noticing was stretch marks about her body, which was something she wanted to get rid of.
This, she said prompted her into making natural remedies to help remove the marks.
“I always believed that I was created to help and inspire others but never knew how. A year after my accident, I had stretch marks on certain parts of my body, I wanted something naturally strong and that works fast to remove it for the upcoming pageant, I was about to part take in at that time,” she explained.
As such, she created her first item; the magic scrub product. The product started to show results after just two uses.
Today, Natural Beauty Product is a brand that produces and distributes skincare products, using ONLY natural ingredients. The magic scrub is a product that reduces redness and inflammations in the skin; help with acne, hyper pigmentation, reduces dark circles, is good for dry skin, improves tanned skin, removes blemishes, improves complexion, moisturizes skin.
Further it tones and lightens skin, gives your skin a glow, reduces skin, restores damage skin, removes stretch marks and helps with premature aging.
Asked how the support has been since her launch, the young woman testified that “God” has been pretty much the driving force behind her operations.
“Honestly, God has been my support system since I started my business. I later exchanged my products to models or anyone who have a large influence platform to promote. When I saw that it wasn’t enough, I reached out to several social media influencers for interviews… I used my testimony as a spring board to promote my business,” she stated.
She also shared that getting her business to where it is today was not easy but she kept the faith knowing everything would happen in its own time.
“At first, it was difficult for my brand to be recognized however it wasn’t impossible, I prayed and God reminded me why he had placed me in pageantry,” because it was through that exposure she was able to help promote and pushed her brand.
“I overcame all life problems by praying; prayers move mountains…I always believed that. When I was frustrated and was going to give up on my business, I prayed for it to be recognized and it did of course not overnight but it did,” she related. Having been thriving, Spooner said she now has six products on the line.
With this, she mentioned that her future goals are to have an expanded business which would be able to produce natural products for hair in addition to skincare being distributed not only locally but all over the world.
Meanwhile, when asked about the responsibility of young entrepreneurs in our society, Spooner said she believes everyone’s contributions are equally important.
As for her, she hopes her life story and business motivate and encourage young children and teens to keep going.
Our featured entrepreneur is of the view that there is a lot that can be done to boost small businesses.
She urges emerging entrepreneurs to keep pushing and to never lose sight of their goal.
“There’s a lot that can be done for young entrepreneurs like: sponsorships, promotions, financial assistance, etc. From my knowledge and understanding, everything we need is already here, there’s a saying if you want something, you have to work for it,” she said.
For persons interested in trying out these products, you can do so by reaching out to the business via Facebook, Instagram and Tic Tok at Natural Beauty products.gy, or you can contact the young woman on WhatsApp on telephone number (592) 633-6475. Delivery is also available.
