Dear Editor,
The feeble handwriting hurdle thrown at a contributor for an NIS claim (SN October 20) is nothing short of an act to frustrate.
What next will that organization come up with as it seeks to frustrate and ultimately deny claims?
Why must a contributor be held responsible for something outside of her control?
Why doesn’t NIS inform medical practitioners of the need to write clearly and legibly rather than holding the contributor responsible?
NIS has lost its way with this flimsy stumbling block.
Frustrate and thwart with the hope claims would not be pursued, seems to be its preferred modus operandi.
Perhaps a presidential outreach is what is needed to resolve this issue.
Yours faithfully,
Shamshun Mohamed
