Taxi Driver granted bail for assaulting man
Kaieteur News – A taxi driver appeared on Wednesday at the Diamond/Golden Grove Magistrate’s Court before Senior Magistrate Sunil Scarce to answer to an assault charge.

Alton Straker, 27, appeared at the Diamond/Golden Grove Magistrate’s Court, before Senior Magistrate Sunil Scarce, where the charge was read to him. He was charged for the offence of inflicting grievous bodily harm
It is alleged that the offence was committed on September 24, 2023, on Shepherd at Sarah Johanna, East Bank Demerara.
Straker pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum $50,000. The matter was adjourned to November 3, 2023.
