Kaieteur Sports – A grand horse race meet, Gymkhana and Fun Day is slated for the Cane Grove S Turn Dam at Mahaica Region 4 Demerara on Sunday, September 17.
The popular venue will be a hive of activities where a number of events are slated to take place.
The event which is being organized by popular horse race personalities, Duff, McKenzie Trevor and Sancho will have a number of attractive cash prizes, trophies and other prizes available.
A number of top notch events are on the card with the event for J class horses being the main event.
The winner of that event is slated to take home a sumptuous $120,000 and trophy. Other events on the day are for L, K, two-year old animals, one for Cow Horses, for cart horses and unclassified animals, among others, all over 5 furlongs.
A large crowd is expected to be in attendance. ‘Turfites’ will be entertained by popular musical sounds while there will be Bar-B-Que and a well-stocked bar.
Some of the animals already slated to participate are Spice, Score Eval, Red Girl, Milk and Rice, Dr Evil, Bruck Up House, Black Time, Eldorado Queen, Bolt and Nut, Dr Switch and Short Boss among others. (Samuel Whyte)
