Dear Editor,
Recently on social platforms, a video was circulating with a woman’s voice complaining of the fogging machine and foolishly claiming that ‘they’ wanted to kill them out. In her case, ignorance is bountiful, and I do hope that her stupidity doesn’t spread. It’s no secret that we have a situation presently with dengue fever and it is being spread by mosquitoes.
Presently, a lot of people visit the hospitals with complaints of symptoms related to dengue fever.
Editor, at approximately 8 pm on Tuesday, the fogging machine passed around my area, Uitvlugt, and the scent seems to have given me a headache, but I wouldn’t complain, because I know it’s the protection of our health. Would have been good if the residents were warned so they could have taken precautionary measures, especially for kids and babies. But we cannot expect everything to be flawless. After a while, I ventured outside to see how effective the fogging was and discovered not a mosquito biting. I even asked my neighbor, and the same observation was expressed. I’m indeed pleased about the operation and know it would be helpful to many. Kudos to whoever is managing this operation.
Respectfully,
Sahadeo Bates
