Dem Boys Seh…
Kaieteur News – De government expanding roads into four-lane highways. And de more dem do this, de more accidents we getting. Dem driver using dem roads as racing circuits. Dem trucks driving as if dem deh in a video arcade.
De need fuh speed providing good business fuh dem funeral parlour. De more accidents yuh get is de more deaths pun de roads.
And de more four-lane highway yuh build, de harded it is fuh people fuh cross de road. Four-lane highway does only build weh people nah live. But in Guyana, we does build dem highway alongside dem residential area. People gat to cross de highway and nuff of dem getting lick-down.
But de government nah learning. Instead of building a new road, dem trying fuh convert an existing two-lane road into a four-lane road. It might be cheaper fuh simply build a new road but de government don’t always think about saving money.
Dem also building new canals in Region 5 and Region 6. Dem boys want know why dem doing this. Dem boys nah see no study which claim dat de regions need new canals. But oil money flowing and de government gat to find projects fuh excite dem supporters.
Dem planning nuff of dem projects fuh complete in time fuh de 2025 elections. Dat is what yuh does call peaking and is a benefit of incumbency. But in Guyana, delays is de order of de day and de government can’t delay elections fuh compensate fuh de delays in dem big projects dem planning. So elections gan come and dem roads and bridges nah gan complete.
