Dem Boys Seh…
Kaieteur News – Dem oil monies flowin’ like water, and we gettin’ some smooth roads and four lane highways. Dem fancy, smooth highways bringin’ more accidents than a bull in a china shop.
De smoother and wider de road, is more accidents tekking place because people using dem roads as a racing track. Some people even treating dem roads like a runway. Some of dem drivers driving as if dem deh in a Fast and Furious movie.
But dem boys gat de solution; bring back dem potholes. Dat is de only way fuh slow down dem drivers.
Back in di day, we used to dread dem potholes like we dread dentist visits. It used to bruk up yuh vehicles. And a half-hour journey to de airport used to tek more than two hours because dem drivers used to have to deh dodging potholes like a solider caught in a crossfire.
When yuh gat pot hoels, yuh gat to keep yuh eyes on de road and concentrate. Yuh can’t be wild and reckless. Nothing slows yuh down like a pothole.
So let we say goodbye to dem smooth roads and welcome back dem potholes with open arms. Dem potholes goin’ be we teacher, teachin’ we all some sense on di road. We goin’ be drivin’ like we got some sense in we heads, with caution in we hearts. Di potholes goin’ be we friendly reminder to slow down, pay attention, and stop actin’ like we own de road.
Dis idea might sound like a joke, but sometimes, yuh need a lil nonsense fuh wake yuh up. And right now is too much accidents deh pun we road and people getting killed.
So let we bring back dem potholes. Let we turn de chaos into a cruise and de madness into moderation. Dem boys seh potholes gan fix de road accident rate.
Talk half. Leff half
