– More batting cages, cricket equipment presented
Kaieteur Sports – The Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club (RHTYSC) will bowl off their 14th annual Grade 6 Cricket Summer Camp from July 17.
The 4-week long program will be hosted at the Rose Hall Town Primary School and is set to cater would to about eighty students who recently wrote the National Grade Six exams and are preparing for secondary school.
The students would be taught four subjects-Maths, English, Science and History along with several topics of interest including the importance of Discipline, Peer Pressure, Personal manners and personal care.
Each child that successfully completes the camp would receive a school bag and educational materials. The best student would carry home -an electric bike while over three hundred thousand dollars worth of prizes would be shared out with the top students including cycles, household items, tablets and hampers.
The entrance fee is FREE and parents are invited to register their kids as early as possible. Forms are available at our Area H Ground from 3 to 530am on working dates.
The camp is been sponsored by Republic Bank and others. Also, the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) recently completed its fourth batting cages, under the sponsorship of Contractor Peter Lewis.
The cage was constructed at the Bush Lot United Sports for youths in the West Berbice area with other clubs such as RHTYSC, Canje, Port Mourant and as scheduled for upgrade next, the No. 72 Cut and Load Club, housing the new training construction.
Four clubs have also received batting machines while two more clubs will be recipients shortly as the BCB continues its developmental programme across the Ancient County. (This is an official release of the RHTYSC)
