Kaieteur Sports – The Board of Directors and members of the Kennard Memorial Turf Club (KMTC) would like to express gratitude to all who contributed in one way or the other in making their one-day horserace meet a success.
The event which was held on Monday 3rd July at the Kennard Memorial Turf Club, Corentyne, and Berbice received overwhelming support from sponsors, horse owners and spectators. The day’s event was incident free.
The management committee which is led by Matriarch Mrs. Chan Kennard would like to say a big thank you to among others Ramesh Sunich of Trophy Stall, Demerara Distillers Limited, Delmur Company and Elcock Racing Stables, Patsan Trading, Horse Shoe and Goodwood Racing Services, Dalip Trading, Mike’s Pharmacy, Cyril’s Taxi Services, Mohammed Enterprise, Peter Partasoon, Joe Jagmohan, M and B Contractors, Rus Gas Station among others.
Despite the inclement weather the event was well organized and came off with a bang.
Another feature was the payment of winners and outstanding performers after the respective races.
The committee looks forward to continued patronage from all for the next race meet.
The feature G3 none winners event was won by Pre-race favourite American Traveler of the Persaud Stable after a ding-dong tussle with the much improved Republican of the Elcock Racing Stable. (Samuel Whyte)
