CWI Rising Stars U19 Women’s Tournament…
Kaieteur Sports – Trinidad and Tobago inflicted a huge 8 wicket win on the Guyanese yesterday when action in the ongoing CWI Rising Stars Women’s U19 tourney continued.
Batting first, the Guyanese women only could muster 80 runs in 29.1 overs, with Realeanna Grimmond the opener, hitting a top score of 26 with Captain Ashmini Munisar scoring 12 as the next best score.
The Trinidadian pair of Kirah Manapaul (3-21) and Djenaba Joseph (3-18) sliced through Guyana’s order with accuracy, setting up an easy chase for their side.
In reply, T&T would stroll to 81-2 in 21.3 overs. Joseph returned to hit 18 but it was openers Samara Ramnath (32) and Shunelle Sawh (16) who guided their team home with wickets to spare.
