Kaieteur Sports – Mohamed Enterprise, a renowned supporter of sports and development in Guyana, once again proves its commitment by becoming the latest sponsor of the Guyana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) National Men’s Under 19 team. This sponsorship comes at a crucial time as the team prepares to participate in the highly anticipated Rugby America’s North Men’s U19 championship, scheduled to be held from July 12-16 at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, Kingston, Jamaica.
The RAN Championships provide an exceptional platform for young rugby players to exhibit their skills and potential in a fiercely competitive tournament. The young Green Machine, representing Guyana, eagerly embraces this opportunity to go head-to-head against formidable teams such as South USA, Jamaica, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, and Trinidad and Tobago.
As the tournament draws near, the team is fully focused on their preparation. With just a few days remaining, the twenty-three-member squad is gearing up to depart for Kingston on Monday, July 10th. Despite having only two days of practice before the commencement of the tournament, the team is determined to give their best performance on the field.
Troy Yhip, GRFU Treasurer, expressed profound gratitude to Mohamed Enterprise for their unwavering support towards local rugby. He remarked, “I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the team at Mohamed Enterprise for their continuous and invaluable support. Their sponsorship not only provides financial backing but also demonstrates a genuine commitment to the growth and development of rugby.”
So far the GRFU have garnered support from prominent entities such as the GOA, and the NSC S&L Electrical Agency, Massy Gas Product, Modern Optical, P&P Insurance Brokers, Ansa McAl, Cummings Electrical, NAMILCO, Vish’s Pharmacy, Wilfred Neblette (NY), Freddy Fish Shop, among others.
