Kaieteur Sports – Another day, another topsy-turvy performance by team Guyana at the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games in El Salvador.
In athletics, Kenisha Philips secured a spot in the 400m final, while Deshana Skeete’s journey came to an end in the semifinals. Skeete, who had a solid Junior Collegiate season, finished fifth with a time of 53.39s.
On the other hand, Philips, despite finishing fourth in her semifinal, managed to secure the last qualifying spot with a time of 53.31s.
The women’s 400m final is scheduled for Thursday.
In the men’s division, Emanuel Archibald, fresh off his historic gold-medal win in the Men’s 100m event, will compete in the Men’s 4x100m relay.
Today, Guyanese athletes will showcase their skills in the 200m, 800m, and triple jump events.
Meanwhile, in badminton, the Rhamdani siblings, Narayan and Priyanna, delivered impressive performances in the singles event. However, they were eventually eliminated from the competition. (Rawle Toney)
